Technical calculation tool

Technical calculation tool for grease service life.

This function calculates the grease life in single row shielded/sealed type ball bearings employing steel shields or rubber seals.

This calculation can be applied in the range specified below.

a) Operating temperature: (T)

The calculation is applicable when T120C. (However, when T50C, T = 50C.)
When T120C, consult Koyo.

b) dmn value

The dmn value is calculated based on the pitch circle diameter of rolling elements (dm) and rotational speed (n).
The calculation is applicable when dmn50 x 104.
(However, when dmn12.5 x 104,dmn = 12.5 x 104.)
When dmn50 x 104, consult Koyo.

c) Loading conditions

The calculation is applicable when Pr/Cr0.2. (However, when Pr/Cr0.05, Pr/Cr = 0.05.)
When Pr/Cr0.2, consult Koyo. The dynamic equivalent radial load is calculated in the program based on the entered radial load and axial load.

Operating conditions

Radial load

Enter the magnitude of load on the bearing in the radial direction (at right angles to the rotating axis).

Axial load

Enter the magnitude of load on the bearing in the axial direction (parallel to the rotating axis).

Operating temperature

Enter the temperature of the bearing during operation.

Rotational speed

Enter bearing rotational speed.

Calculation results

Dynamic equivalent radial load

The equivalent radial load obtained based on the radial load and axial load is shown.

Grease life

The calculated grease life is shown.
