ONI BEARING Contributed to the Victory at the Vuelta a Espana 2025 by Mr. Jonas VINGEGAARD

Mr. Jonas VINGEGAARD of Team Visma｜Lease a Bike (hereinafter referred to as "TVL") has won the Vuelta a Espana 2025. JTEKT Corporation (headquarters: Kariya City, Aichi Prefecture, President: Yoshihito Kondo, hereinafter referred to as "JTEKT") and TVL are under an official partnership agreement and JTEKT provides TVL with our ONI BEARING.

【The Vuelta a Espana】

The Vuelta a Espana is held in Spain every September and is ranked alongside the Tour de France (France) and the Giro d'Italia (Italy) as one of the world's top grand tours. In 2025, it will take place from August 23 to September 14, with a total of 21 stages plus 2 rest days. 23 teams and 184 participants will compete, and the rider with the best overall time across all 21 stages will ultimately be crowned the individual overall champion of the Vuelta a Espana.

【Team Visma｜Lease a Bike】

TVL is a cycling team based in the Netherlands. Mr. Jonas Vingegaard of TVL(formerly Team Jumbo-Visma) won the general classification at the Tour de France 2022, and the team has achieved the No.1 position of the UCI rankings.In 2023, TVL achieved three major victories: the Giro d'Italia in May, the Tour de France in July, and the Vuelta a Espana in September. This made the team the first in the world to win all three UCI Tours in a single season.

【TVL and JTEKT】

The official partnership agreement between TVL and JTEKT was signed in March 2024. JTEKT supports the team by providing them with road bike bearings "ONI BEARING" as well as bearing technology, thereby contributing to the team's world-class performance.

【About ONI BEARING】

ONI BEARING has been developed by combining two areas of expertise of JTEKT; the technology for ceramic bearings, which was put into practical use in 1984 as a world first, and the knowledge cultivated in the fields of automobiles and industrial machinery. Compared to existing road bike bearings, it operates under overwhelmingly low torque, making pedaling easier to start and helping the wheel maintain its speed.
