Initiatives for the Protection of Personal Information The JTEKT Group, comprising JTEKT and its subsidiaries, recognizes the importance of proper handling and protection of personal information, which it defines as information has been obtained in the course of legitimate business operations and can be used to identify individual customers or business partners.
To this end, we have implemented specific and detailed JTEKT Group policies, together with educational programs for our employees about these policies, as a part of our initiatives for complying with all relevant laws and regulations.

3. 3. Manufacture, repair, and sales of machine tools, industrial equipment, industrial robots, automated assembly equipment, and other mechanical devices as well as their appurtenant parts

In keeping with the importance of proper handling of personal information acquired in the course of legitimate business, the JTEKT Group does not disclose such personal information to any third party without prior written permission of our customers except as described below:

In order to prevent the loss, theft, falsification, or unauthorized use of personal data, JTEKT has implemented measures appropriate to ensuring the secure management of all personal data in accordance with both JTEKT's own internal guidelines as well as all relevant laws and regulations. JTEKT also conducts workshops, seminars, and other educations programs to ensure that JTEKT employees understand and conform to all applicable criteria in the proper handling of personal data.
